International Standards Organizations
ITU — International Telecommunication Union
Full MemberTSDSI is a full Sector Member of ITU-T (Standardization) and ITU-R (Radiocommunication). This gives India direct participation rights in ITU study groups, expert groups, and policy fora. TSDSI leads India's technical contributions to ITU-T SG2, SG11, SG13, SG17, and ITU-R SG5 (IMT standards).
3GPP — 3rd Generation Partnership Project
Organizational PartnerTSDSI joined 3GPP as an Organizational Partner, enabling India to formally submit technical contributions (TDocs) to 3GPP working groups. TSDSI has successfully contributed India-specific requirements to 3GPP specifications and submits the LMLC feature for NR and LTE.
oneM2M — Global IoT Standards Partnership
Full PartnerTSDSI is a founding and full partner in oneM2M — the global IoT standards body — representing India's IoT standardization needs. Through oneM2M, TSDSI contributes to IoT service layer standards, security, and India use cases including Smart Villages and Digital Agriculture.
ETSI — European Telecommunications Standards Institute
Associate MemberTSDSI holds Associate Membership status at ETSI, enabling participation in select ETSI technical committees and working groups relevant to India, particularly in NFV/SDN, MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing), and cybersecurity standards.
GSMA — Global System for Mobile Communications Association
MemberThrough its operator and OEM members, TSDSI coordinates with GSMA on technical positions affecting Indian mobile networks, including spectrum, roaming, IoT SAFE, and next-generation subscriber identity standards.
IEEE — Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers
LiaisonTSDSI maintains liaison relations with IEEE Standards Association, enabling coordination on complementary standards such as 802.11 (Wi-Fi), 802.3 (Ethernet), and emerging AI/ML standards relevant to telecom networks.

Department of Telecommunications (DoT)
DoT, Ministry of Communications is the founding body of TSDSI and its primary government stakeholder, providing policy direction for telecom standardization.
Telecommunications Engineering Centre (TEC)
TEC, DoT's technical arm, coordinates with TSDSI on telecom type approval, Interface standards, and implementation of national telecom standards.
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
MoU with BIS for coordinating ICT standardization activities, avoiding duplication, and jointly promoting Indian standards at international bodies.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI)
TRAI participates as a Guest Member and provides regulatory policy inputs to TSDSI technical groups, particularly on spectrum, QoS, and consumer protection.
Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY)
MeitY liaison on digital India, IoT, and cybersecurity standards, particularly for government digital services, data protection, and IT security standards.
IIT Delhi — Bharti School
IIT Delhi's Bharti School of Telecom provides TSDSI's office space, research collaboration, and academic participation in technical standardization activities.
C-DoT (Centre for Development of Telematics)
Technology development collaboration with C-DoT on indigenous telecom technology, 5G stack development, and joint standardization of India-made solutions.
NASSCOM
Liaison with NASSCOM for software industry participation in ICT standardization, particularly for digital services, cloud, and AI/ML standards.
IDRBT
Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology — partner for financial services telecom security and FinTech standardization.
