About 3GPP Transpositions

Making Global Mobile Standards Indian

3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) develops global mobile standards for 3G (UMTS/HSPA), 4G (LTE/LTE-A), and 5G (NR) systems. As an Organizational Partner of 3GPP, TSDSI transpositions 3GPP Technical Specifications (TS) and Technical Reports (TR) as TSDSI/national standards under the TSDSI numbering scheme.

These transpositions give Indian telecom operators, equipment manufacturers, regulators, and courts a formal national standards reference for mobile network technologies used in India. As of 2024, TSDSI has transposed over 1,657 3GPP specifications covering Releases 8 through 18.
