The SG-Services & Solutions Study Group focuses on services, applications, IoT/M2M, and security standardization. It aligns with oneM2M, 3GPP SA, and ITU-T activities.
Working Groups Under SG-Services
WG1 — Security
Develops India-specific telecom security standards and contributes to 3GPP SA3 and ITU-T SG17 security work.
- 5G security architecture (3GPP Rel-15/16/17/18 transposition)
- IoT device security requirements
- Network slicing security
- Critical infrastructure protection standards
WG2 — Application Layer (oneM2M)
Manages TSDSI’s participation in oneM2M global IoT standards. TSDSI is an active Partner Type 1 member of oneM2M.
- Adopted oneM2M Release 2A, Release 3, Release 4 as TSDSI standards
- 49 TSDSI members participate in oneM2M Technical Plenary and working groups
- India-specific IoT deployment requirements for agriculture, smart cities, and healthcare
WG3 — Services Architecture
Defines service frameworks, APIs, and architectural standards for Indian deployments.
- Network API standards for Indian telecom operators
- QoS frameworks for critical national applications
- M2M/IoT platform architecture for Indian Smart City deployments
Key Activities
- oneM2M Adoption: India-specific profiles for smart agriculture, e-health, smart metering, and smart cities
- Quantum Communication: Security standards for quantum-secured communications networks
- AI/ML in Services: Standards for AI-driven service management and orchestration
Meetings & Participation
